Wednesday, July 25th at the Warminster Recreation Center (1101 Little Lane, Warminster, PA) at 7pm.

A BIG band on "Little Lane" is going to be a great time!! Bring a chair, a picnic blanket, and enjoy the evening of music! EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE!! In case of rain, it will be held indoors at the Rec Center facilities.

June Update!

As I said the other month, when you don't hear Nothin' for a while, you know there's somethin' goin' on. And there is. Jazz 4 Nothin' is working some new music and next month, everyone's going to get to hear some new sounds along with some of the ones everyone loves. Superbone Meets the Badman. That's something like Superman and Batman right? Time for some summer blockbusters. ;)

When you hear nothin' for a while, there's a whole lot of somethin' going' on...

Hey eve...ry...one... hold on - let me take a breath! Okay, I'm back! WHEW! Big news! The summer is almost upon us and that means lots of sunny (weather-permitting) performances are closing in fast. And hold on to your horses because there are four, yes that's FOUR performances that will be occurring within one two-week stretch in early June. So that gives you a lot of opportunities for listening to some of the music you love the most. Did I forget to mention that not included in those four practices is an upcoming performance on May 6th at the Duck Deli Jazz Festival? Silly me! What is the Duck Deli Jazz Festival, you ask? Well, it's free to attend (that means you can bring everyone you know), purchase a nice lunch (with some of the best barbecue in town), sit back and for the whole weekend listen to great music. Now, Jazz 4 Nothin' is on Sunday around lunchtime, so what doesn't sound better than jazz, barbecue, and sunshine??? Oh, and it's for a good cause. Did I mention the part about the Red Cross? We hope to see everyone out at this festival which has become an annual event! And this will be Jazz 4 Nothin's third performance in a row there.

Performances THIS WEEK!!

J4N performs, then CB West performs, with featured soloist Graham Breedlove from the US ARMY BLUES BAND!! (This is a FREE concert!)

Unami Middle School, Chalfont, PA 7:00pm
This jazz festival will be featuring some amazing young area middle schools! J4N closes the night out!

Jazz 4 Nothin's Winter Festival Season begins NOW!

Jazz 4 Nothin' will be performing at local schools beginning this February! See us at Abington Junior High on Friday, February 10th! The Jazz Festival begins at 7pm! Jazz 4 Nothin' closes the show at 9pm!

We will also be performing on Friday, February 17th at Tohickon Middle School in Doylestown! More information to come!

Jazz 4 Nothin' played outside the Doylestown Court House, participating in the Lions' sponsored concert series "Concert in the Parks" during the Intermission of the community Concert Band.

Jazz 4 Nothin' played inside at the 263 Marketplace for approximately 1 hour (some small group work may also be heard before or after the big band). Come out and have a great time!

The Duck Deli Jazz Festival

Jazz 4 Nothin' was great this year at the Duck Deli jazz festival, the second time the group performed there. Pictures are forthcoming!

Sunday, May 1st, 10:30-11:30 AM:

A-Day at Delaware Valley College

Jazz 4 Nothin' performed an hour set on a beautiful day at Delaware Valley College, allowing its student members to play for their colleagues and friends and the group to play for its community. It was a wonderful performance.

Saturday, April 2nd: 11:00 AM:

"Big Toh Jam" at Tohickon Middle School

Jazz 4 Nothin' exhibited at the Tohickon Middle School "Big Toh Jam" in which all proceeds of the event benefited the American Red Cross. The event was called "Jazz for Japan." It was a great performance!

Friday, February 11th, 9:15PM:

Abington Junior High School

Jazz 4 Nothin' exhibited at the Abington Junior High School jazz festival and will continue to perform after awards have been handed out - a full set of charts!

Friday, February 4th, 2011, 7PM

Central Bucks West High School

The group opened the winter jazz concert at Central Bucks West High School performing two pieces, Malaguena and Nostalgia in Times Square to a highly attentative and appreciative audience. This also kicks off the group's commemoration of Stan Kenton's 100th birthday by opening the year with a performance of the original Bill Holman version of Malaguena.

Saturday, November 6th, 2010, 8:30-10PM

Doylestown Moose Lodge Birthday

The group played its longest set yet, clocking in a performance of over an hour and half with more than twelve main numbers in two sets. Of note were full performances of the original Sing, Sing, Sing (pts. 1 & 2) and Theme from Sesame Street (Maynard Ferguson version), as well as Hoagy Carmichael's classic vocal solo version of Georgia On My Mind.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church indoor block party. The group performed again for St. Paul's as a thank you to the church's support of our activities.

Thursday, July 15th, 2010:

Doylestown Summer Concert Series

At breakneck speed, and being invited to play literally the night before, the group performed four pieces during the intermission of the summer concert series. A special thanks goes out to the saxophones, a line which was composed of entirely substitute players. This performance would not have been possible without them, and they tackled some hard charts head-on, without any prior rehearsal with the group.

Friday, July 2nd, 2010:

First Friday in Doylestown

Jazz 4 Nothin' performed outside in the center of Doylestown, attracting a large crowd and playing for the longest time yet. The audience loved the music and the entire night was a pure delight.

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010:

Southampton Jazz Festival

Though it was a humid and rain-threatening day, the festival was held in the Klinger Middle School auditorium. Jazz 4 Nothin' closed the show and had an awesome performance, following a great job by William Tennent High School's jazz band.

Saturday, May 1st, 2010, 4PM:

Duck Deli Jazz Festival:

The Duck Deli hosted its annual music festival in May; this year it was on the afternoons of Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd. Jazz 4 Nothin' performed on the first day of the events, at about 4:00 PM. Prior to Jazz 4 Nothin', the Doylestown Heat big band (sponsored by the Doylestown Lions Club) played, and immediately following, the last act was Jazz West (the Central Bucks West High School Jazz Band).

Sunday, April 11th, 2010: 7:15 PM:

Premiere Performance

Jazz 4 Nothin' had a successful first performance for the people of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Doylestown, PA during the Intermission of their Talent Show. Met with an immediate standing ovation following the final piece, the group looks forward to the upcoming performances.
